1. National Commission for Women (NCW) has taken suo moto cognizance and constituted an Inquiry Committee under Sections 8 (1), read with Sections 10 (1) and 10 (4) of the National Commission for Women Act, 1990 to inquire into media report which appeared in Dainik Bhaskar, Faridabad dated 11.11.2014 titled "Mahila ko nirvastra kar gadhe par ghumane ke aarop me 25 ko jail".

National Commission for Women (NCW) has taken suo moto cognizance and constituted an Inquiry Committee under Sections 8 (1), read with Sections 10 (1) and 10 (4) of the National Commission for Women Act, 1990 to inquire into media report titled "Brothel inside Bangaluru Jail? Women inmates send SOS, prison official says allegation false".

National Commission for Women (NCW) has taken suo moto cognizance and constituted an Inquiry Committee under Sections 8 (1), read with Sections 10 (1) and 10 (4) of the National Commission for Women Act, 1990 to inquire into the alleged incident reported in various media, wherein it was reported that a mass sterilization camp was held in Kushinagar District of Uttar Pradesh in which six doctors allegedly operated on 42 women within two hours as a community center.

4. A complaint of sexual harassment and other harassments was filed by a Senior officer of IRS currently posted in Kolkata. After hearing both the parties the Commission recommends the following recommendations.

National Commission for Women (NCW) has taken suo moto cognizance and constituted an Inquiry Committee under Sections 8 (1), read with Sections 10 (1) and 10 (4) of the National Commission for Women Act, 1990 to inquire into the superstitious practice wherein reportedly women are not allowed to go upstairs at Kitora village, in Dabra district of Madhya Pradesh.

National Commission for Women (NCW) has taken suo moto cognizance and constituted an Inquiry Committee under Sections 8 (1), read with Sections 10 (1) and 10 (4) of the National Commission for Women Act, 1990 to inquire into the alleged incident of two minor girls who were gang raped and hanged from a tree in a village in Badaun district of Uttar Pradesh.

National Commission for Women (NCW) has taken suo moto cognizance and constituted an Inquiry Committee under Sections 8 (1), read with Sections 10 (1) and 10 (4) of the National Commission for Women Act, 1990 to inquire into the alleged incident wherein a woman was undressed on the order of the village Panchayat in Tikamgarh district of Madhya Pradesh.

National Commission for Women (NCW) has taken suo moto cognizance and constituted an Inquiry Committee under Sections 8 (1), read with Sections 10 (1) and 10 (4) of the National Commission for Women Act, 1990 to inquire into the following incidents which took place in Delhi- 1. The first report titled "Woman kills rapist father" - a case in which the woman has eliminated the abuser who was her father in order to escape continuous sexual abuse. 2. The second report relates to a woman, who was compelled to marry a man much older than her and later falling in love with a juvenile. 3. The third case reported in the newspaper titled " stalked by neighbours young woman ends life, wherein it has been reported as that the girl was stalked by her neighbours who used to ogle and pass obscene comments and even beaten up her family, when they objected to misbehaviour.

National Commission for Women (NCW) has taken suo moto cognizance and constituted an Inquiry Committee under Sections 8 (1), read with Sections 10 (1) and 10 (4) of the National Commission for Women Act, 1990 to inquire into the alleged incident of rape and murder of a 20 years old girl which was reported in Bundi district of Rajasthan.

Recommendations of above case(s) were sent to concerned Deptts. for necessary action.
