DATE OF BIRTH HUSBAND’S NAME   FAMILY BACKGROUND	26TH July, 1957 Late Dr. Abrar Ahmed (Former Union Minister of Finance and Parliamentary Affairs)(1993-1994) She belongs to political family since childhood; her father was a well known freedom fighter from Rajasthan. Her association with the Congress Party and Gandhi family became more integrated after the visit of Late Mrs. Indira Gandhiji at her residence at Jhalawar in Rajasthan and this has also encouraged her to take active part in the politics under the guidance of various distinguished leaders of Congress from time to time from the last 15 years.
POLITICAL BACKGROUND	Contested Rajasthan Assembly Election in 1993 from Sawai Madhopur MLA, Rajasthan Assembly from Sawai Madhopur (1998-2003). Contested Rajasthan Assembly Elections in 2003 from Sawai Madhopur. PCC member for the past 17 years. Member, Rajasthan Mahila Bal Vikas Samiti (1998-2003) Consultant R.M.K. (Rashtriya Mahila Kosh), Govt. of India (2004-2005) Currently working as the Member, National Commission for Women, from 2005 to till date. Work done in National Commission for Women.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION	M.A., M.Phil (Political Science) from Rajasthan University securing Ist position and Ist Division. Actively participated in Games, Cultural and Social activities.
